Living Legend Daniel Broussard was the tax assessor of Vermillion Parish and a native French speaker who was chosen as the narrator for the film History of Vermilion Parish by Gerard Sellers because of his knowledge of the the parish in general and Acadian history in particular. He was also known as the person who was always ready to give a finger rosary to everyone he met. He loved to lead the rosary in French at Eastridge Assisted Living. Daniel Broussard was born on July 24, 1929 and passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.
